ICSA 2018

The 15th to the 18th of October will see the holding of the international chefs summit of the Asian region. The event will take place in the Hotel Taipei Marriott and, during such, 18 prestigious chefs will come together to prepare banquets, hold two conferences and present new developments in the world of gastronomy.

Two days of cooking in teams of four

Over these days, attendees will be able to taste and experience the region’s talent first hand. It will be a meeting point for great chefs who will not only talk or cook by themselves but will cook together side by side, so that learning is guaranteed.

The first day’s team will be made up of chef Takeshi Fukuyama (Goh) -soon to open a new restaurant with Gaggan Anand-, chef Luca Fantin (Il Ristorante), chef Krik Westaway (Jaan) and pastry-maker Fabrizio Fiorani (Bulgary Hotels Tokyo and Osaka). Together they will prepare a menu that will fuse French and Japanese cuisine, with hints of Italian and English influence.

There will be another cooking session on the second day with another four great chefs: Yusuke Takada (La Cime), Mingoo Kang (Migles), Chef Ton (Le Du) and Hoshina (80/20). On this occasion, the goal will be to create an innovative menu, with creativity and unique flavours from Japan, Thailand and Korea.

Other names at the summit

As mentioned above, this summit aims to bring together gastronomy talent working in Asian countries, which is why other personalities like chefs Riche Lin (Mume), Royhei Hieda (Ryugin), Kai Ho (Tairroir), Kin Ming Lam (Longtail), Alain Huang (RAW), Gildas Périn (Orchid) and Vanessa Huang (Ephernité) will also be in attendance.
