The S. Pellegrino Young Chef is the most important competition for young gastronomy talent and is celebrating its fourth edition this year. Registration opened on the 4th of February 2019 and will close on the 30th of April. Anyone who wishes to enter can do so through the website sanpellegrino.com.
Unlike the previous editions, for the first time in the history of the competition there will be three additional awards which will recognise the philosophy and values of the chefs in relation to their capacity and intention to transform society through gastronomy.
“S. Pellegrino Young Chef” AWARD
As every year, this award will go to the best young chef. Each chef must prepare a dish to impress the panel of judges comprising seven big names from the world of gastronomy. Apart from creating a technically impeccable dish, the competitors must also demonstrate creative capacity and maturity in their personal philosophy.
NEW “Fine Dining Lovers, Food for Thoughts” AWARD
The digital Fine Dining Lovers gastronomy magazine, by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna themselves, will recognise the personal philosophy of each chef reflected in the dish they present.
NEW “S. Pellegrino Social Responsibility” AWARD
In this case, the award will go to the competitor who prepares a dish that takes socially responsible practices into account. The competition will be judged by a renowned, international food expert.
NEW “Acqua Panna, Award for Connection in Gastronomy” AWARD
Cultural interaction through gastronomy now has an award. A judging panel representing 50 countries will choose the best fusion dish as a tribute to the world’s different cultures.
