The 26th to the 30th of January will see the celebration of the world’s largest restaurant and catering fair: Sirha. Held every two years, this event offers attendees the opportunity to meet new partners and conquer markets. This year it will take place from the 26th to the 30th of January in Lyon.
Following the success of last edition, Sirha 2017, this year’s edition aims to bring together the latest gastronomy trends and the world’s best chefs with an expected turn-out of 200,000 visitors.
Sirha will showcase the sector’s newest developments; a source of inspiration and innovation. Additionally, recognised competitions such as the final of the Bocuse d’Or, the Grand Prix and the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie make Sirha a spectacular show where chefs and pastry chefs can show their potential.
At Sirha 2019, 24 chefs from 24 different countries will compete to take home the Bocuse d’Or trophy, which pays homage to the recently deceased Paul Bocuse. The final of one of gastronomy’s most prestigious awards for the world’s chefs will take place on the 29th and 30th of January.
Innovation Grand Prix
Sunday the 27th of January will see the handing out of the Sirha 2019 Awards for Innovation. Of a total of 365 projects presented at the Innovation Grand Prix, only 12 projects were selected.
